Conditions for Hiring and Firing

Don’t let family members get the idea that they can sit back and be recruited for cushy jobs. Family members should submit to the same conditions of employment as any other employee, including promotion, advancement, compensation and, if it comes to it, termination. This requirement should be explicitly stated in the employment policy. To forestall anyone questioning whether a family member received his or her job by merit or through connections, every family member will be expected to hold themselves as a model of dedication, hard work, honesty and professional behavior for other employees to observe. Offering a temporary entry-level job to any family member who desires it and can fulfill the requirements is also a good option.
