Mary Ann Zimmerman

Mary Ann Zimmerman brings extensive experience in psychology and business administration to her consulting work. Specifically, she focuses on assessments and executive coaching for individuals within family systems.
Furthermore, as a communications specialist, Mary Ann helps individuals, families, and organizations improve their personal and professional communication. She actively teaches the core competencies of emotional intelligence. In addition, she develops effective protocols to help family enterprises maintain regulatory compliance.
Previously, Mary Ann managed Patient and Community Relations for a Midwestern healthcare system. She also served as president of the Arizona Geriatrics Society. Consequently, she advocates strongly for the aging population and focuses on supporting senior generations. Today, she travels across the United States as a CARF accreditation surveyor to evaluate agencies under state and federal review.
Beyond her professional roles, Mary Ann deeply engages with community organizations. For instance, she previously led the Northwest Valley Chamber of Commerce in Arizona and an Ohio chapter of the American Businesswomen’s Association as president. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for a state American Heart Association chapter. She also contributed her expertise to the Planning and Zoning Commission in Surprise, Arizona.
Importantly, Mary Ann understands family businesses firsthand. She grew up working in her parent’s company and later owned and operated two of her own businesses in Arizona. To support her practical experience, she earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master’s degree in individual and organizational intervention.
Outside of the office, Mary Ann enjoys spending time with her husband. She also pursues active hobbies like gardening, motorcycle riding, and competing in shooting competitions.
