Fort Worth based Meridian Bank Texas recently acquired family owned State Bank & Trust Co. based in Carrollton. The State Bank & Trust Company has been owned by the Bright family since the early 1990’s and has maintained the family-owned atmosphere ever since.
“I decided I wanted to be less involved in the banking business, so I looked for people who might fit with our way of doing things,” said Clay Bright, owner of State Bank & Trust Co. “Meridian really did. They’re a good family-owned company and seem to have the same value system.”
